Description
This was my first oil that I did using a palette knife! I love the reflection of light that I see in the copper tea kettle. Makes me want to sit down with a good book and have another cup of tea.
The fresh cranberries make me think of the delicious cranberry relish I like to make at holiday times. Last, but not least, those onions remind me of how good they taste in soups and casseroles... and of course when they are french fried!
Although these are just ordinary pleasures that we all enjoy, they bring joy to our lives in those quiet moments of reflection.♥

I am not surprised this painting has received so many comments and so much attention. It is fabulous… the copper is glossy and mottled, the onions are shiny red and crispy dusky browns, the glass bottle s so interesting with reds to greens and creams. The handwriting and label like an abstract painting within a still life..It deserves to be in an Art Gallery for everyone to see.

Thank you very much for your comment, Hazel! This still life is so well done! The colors and reflections do touch an artistic nerve. And by the looks of it, the light source must come from one of those old fashioned oil lamps.
