Description
As I painted this impressionistic watercolor of birds flying high in the sky I was reminded of the following verse of scripture: "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
Our generation wants instant answers, instant revelations, instant understanding to the questions and problems we face in our daily lives. We live in a fast-paced world. We drive fast cars. We eat fast food. We live in the fast lane. When we don't get instant answers we often get impatient and discouraged and go looking for quick substitutes...
But there's no substitute for waiting on the presence of the Lord. There's no substitute for waiting on His timing for His purposes to be fulfilled in our daily lives. Even during those times when we feel nothing, He is there. Even during the long dry seasons, He is there. He is listening to our every word and thought, preparing us for what lies ahead.♥
I think this art print would look great in a little girls pink bedroom!

Great capture of movement in watercolor, which I consider to be the most difficult technique in the visual arts!

So many uplifting "feely" paintings on your site Hazel. I did not know where to go and then noticed this very quiet and inspiring sky picture. A really lovely and spiritual watercolor in delightful shades of muted pink. v/f
